Willam F. Eisner Museum of Advertising & Design
Not everyone gets to launch a museum. A huge project, on an aggressive timetable accomplished with the help of many, many people. Loads of fun and stress, and I do have my own hardhat.

Hired to complete the business plan for this fabulous project and get it into gear, I ended up devoting my full efforts to the project for an extended time as its first Executive Director. The dream of a local philanthropist, the museum would become a collaboration between a leading art and design college and the advertising and design community. My experience in higher education and prior work in nonprofit fundraising and management (seven years as director of development) brought me on board to get the planning phase back on course. In the end I stayed through it’s opening in 2000 and into its first program year. The museum, no longer a part of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and sadly The Eisner American Museum of Advertising & Design recently closed its doors, but exists in its online form.
